Pulling engine and transmission
Getting close to taking the heart out of the parts Heep. At this point all I need to do is get the air compressor wired in, drain the fluids, and go at it. So I was looking in my Haynes manual and they detail step-by-step how to remove the engine separate from the transmission.
I'm hoping to pull it as one single unit. I've got the front clip off, so it should be simple enough. The problem I have now, though, is that the Haynes manual says there should be hook points on the engine. My '93 has them, the '94 does not. Do I just bolt to the head and go from there? Would be a shame if it crashed to the ground...

i suggest you use straps no matter where you hook it up at it much easier i did this with my XJ and WJ motor swaps just remember you want to hook it in two places so that it comes out even. the 4.0 is not hard to take out just remember to disconnect the fuel line like i did.

i have never pulled any manufacturer straight 6 with out the tranny and they come out fine. usually the output flange on the tranny catches something on the firewall but you just push it down and forward and comes free
