pulling a 4.0l out of a 88 xj

Default pulling a 4.0l out of a 88 xj

hey guys and gals just curious when i pull my engine out of my jeep can i leave the torque converter and flywheel attached to the block? thanks for the input

It's usually a better idea to leave the torque converter in the bellhousing. flywheel/flex plate can be removed with the engine.

so when i pull my engine i can leave the torque converter and flex plate on the block? or separate them

It's possible to pull the torque converter with the engine. However it's easy to damage it in the process.

If i remove those bolts what is the torque specs on those bolts? Sorry for all the questions this is my first time doing a cherokee swap

Remove the flexplate to torque converter bolts and leave the converter with the trans. 15mm headed bolts. 4 of them.
