I've read most of the posts here regarding the replacement of the a/c condenser. All state remove the dashboard.
Looking at a couple of posted photos of the a/c heater box and drawings from the tech manual, it looks like the evaporator could be pulled into the Jeep cab. To accomplish this look at the area where the evaporator sets in the box, make a cut with a dremel tool tracing the outline side view of the evaporator, this area could be cut to expose the cab side of the evaporator allowing it to be pulled into the cab of the Jeep. Crazy? Obstacles?
