one thing about older high mileage motors thru the years stuff get worn little grovves get into things you take a chance cleaning all that stuff out it could run worse .its like taking a old transmission with burnt fluid and doing a flush and filter some times it runs sometimes it dont

As in some time has passed? I mean, they will run horrible and sometimes throw codes as all of the crap burns off. If you don't get it all out of the engine, or he poured it in where it could hurt a sensor, I can see it running bad. Also, I have seen engines so gummed up that they foul the plugs.

Sounds like the right one but mine doesnt say brake on it. Does it have good suction while the engine is running?

Ran it through the vacuum coming off the brake booster on mine. '88 with 237k and it certainly helped. Sure smoked up the neighborhood though

I'm still a firm believer in water and trans fluid... lots cheaper too.

I have only used Seafoam added to fuel, never poured it down the intake nor added it to the oil.

Years ago I bought this 'engine cleaner', instructions said to pour it directly into the carb but carefully so as not to stall the motor.

Well me truck was partly pulled into the garage up to the top of the cab, back end was outside.

I fired up the truck and as instructed began pouring it down the carb. Keep in mind I was under the hood inside the garage and could not see what was happening outside.

Smoke???? Heck yeah there was smoke, even a FIRE TRUCK.

My neighbor called the Fire Dept because of all the smoke.

I forget what that product was but aways wondered ..... wouldn't it be fun to install a washer fluid tank and pump with the line going to the intake. As you go down the road hit the button and lay down a smoke screen!!!!

Default Seafoam

I recently traded in my 2002 dodge dakota for my 2001 jeep. One of the reasons I wanted to trade was that the dodge was starting to rattle in the motor front end. It had 150000 on it. I had taken it to the local dodge dealer and he poured half a can of seafoam into gas tank and other into the crankcase. Said that a long time customer added a half can of seafoam to crankcase on every 3rd oil change. Supposedly worked great for him on a truck he had since new. I'm still skeptical.
