Default Product question...

Many of you know I am creating aftermarket items for Cherokees.
Many of you are customers of mine. Several are repeat customers.

So for my latest item, I am asking you for some pre-production ideas.

My latest adventure is making A-Pillar light mounts.
A-Pillar--->windshield pillar

Here's a pic I was given of a now "no longer available" set.

I do not like the fact that most of the bracket is over the windshield trim.

The design I have drawn up only goes to the edge of the trim.
The mounting plate will look more like \7 when viewed from the side.

There are two questions I ask:

1. What size mounting hole would be "good" size?
2. What finish should they come in. Black epoxy/ primer (red or gray)/ bare metal?

I think the black looks great, but if you leave them bare metal or with a primer on them, people will be able to customize them to any color of there choice.
And everyone like to customize!!

My jeep has a Lot of Chrome so I think a finish in chrome would look great also. Damn Limited lol.

I agree about NOT covering the windshield trim.
I vote for black, maybe offering gray primed as an slightly cheaper alternative.
Mounting bolt size...I'm thinking 5/16" , 1/4x20 might be too small (especially for those who might get close to shrubbery on narrow trails...)

Why are you affraid of the Knights That Say Neet?

For clarification... The A-pillar light mount pictured is NOT mine. But merely a referrence as to what an A-pillar light mount may look like.

I think just sell em primed and ready for paint would work. This would allow buyer to customize to fit their color scheme and would be cheaper and easy on you to make. If you are going to paint em black would be the safest and have the widest use, but primed would be the safest all around bet.
