Default Problems with new OEM replacement coils and leafs

'98 XJ Classic, 4x4

Okay, so I didn't like my 2"BB lift and pulled it off to replace it with new OEM replacement rear leafs and coils. I bought the heavy duty leafs which have a 7" arc and the heavy duty front coils, which are 17" long unloaded. Now my Jeep sits 1.25" higher in the back. I thought the back would be level with the front. It's not and looks ridiculous. Also, the 17" springs are actually shorter than the stock springs by about 3/4". Anybody know what I did wrong? I ordered the parts from Quadratec. Is it possible I ordered the wrong parts?

Springs take a while to settle. Maybe just give it some time and some miles?

yeah, I thought about that, but I'm worried the back and front will start to settle at the same rate and I'll have the same problem, just lower.

If you got the heavy duty leaf springs from quadratec, they come from the upcountry Cherokee and they will add a one inch lift to the back of your jeep. Maybe you can send them back for the regular ones. Hope this helps
