I bought a 1996 cherokee and the air isnt working, no power to the compressor. To mechanics have looked at it and they are saying that It could be the pcm. The motor in the cherokee is out of as 1994 I believe. If you jump out the relay everything works fine. Just wondering if the pcm from a 1996 or 1994 could be throwing the ac off thanks in advance

PCM shouldn't need a swap. They used the same engine from '91 to '96 in all XJ's. I think you can safely rule that out. How recent was the AC failure?

Ac didnt work when i bought it, no power at ac, Two mechanics have looked at it. I jumped it out this afternoon and compressor was squealing. Low side pressure was good and high side pressure was alittle high.
