Default Problem please help

okay guys first of all thanks for reading this cause i have a serious problem

So for you guys that read my other thread i took of my fog lamps and wanted to wire some 55 watt driving lights into the fog light harness.

So i got my bumper off no problems then i got the fog harness and stripped it a little bit and stirpped some of the wires coming from the lights and touched them together and NOTHING now i know the harness works cause im getting 12 volts on it and the stock fogs worked and the lights work cause i tested em with the battery

So any ideas why this wont work?!?!?!?!
What should i do?

id say try to ground them, i have 3 sets on my jeep and had 2 sets on my last jeep (but never used a factory harness) and all the problems i've had with them were grounding issues.

If you are using the factory wireing then do you have the headlights turned on as the factory fogs only work with the headlights on. The headlights have to be on and set to low beams. Any other mode and the fogs get no power.

x2 on what blue said. Also make sure the fuses are good. If it doesnt work you could just get a new wiring harness.

Yeah it's your main vacuum reservoir and should have another vacuum line that connects to it..I would relocate it though. Where did you get those new lights and how much did they cost ya?

Good deal.I am planning to just wire them up myself with a switch and directly to the battery using relays...Shouldn't be to complex..well I wouldn't think so anyways..Haven't looked into it yet..Next week is fall break so I am going to try and get a few things done like some new rear DS u-joints..
