Hey, thanks for the example Mattpar! I didn't do the install, I inherited this prob and the rattling is driving me crazy. I will definitely check out the spacer configuration. Hey MasterShakeXJ, I have never jacked this beast up but if your suggestion on how to get it off the ground works for you, then it will probably work for me. I'm just worried that I will run out of jack lift before the tire even leaves the ground. (I only have a floor jack)
I will probably have to pull the truck over a tree stump and put the jack on the stump to get that extra lift.

You can check the spring seating easily by looking at the coil perch. You'll notice a valley where the coil seats... see that it's rotated around till the end. Down by the retaining clip.
