Exclamation Is this a problem? (pictures)

I am still trying to figure out this suspension problem. The first picture is the Drivers side the second, is the Passengers. My issue is the drivers coil is rubbing on the stop (rattling). It is visibly closer to the stop than the passenger. Can I adjust this or is the coil bent?
Drivers Side

Passenger Side

Thanks!!

Rotate the spring around and see if that helps. It doesn't look like it is seated right.

They are upside down from I can see in the pic. That would make a world of difference in how they perform. Take a pic of the coil where it sits on the axle and post that to be sure.

Gotta check, but from what I can remember, the bottom of the spring is much larger, and seems to taper as it reaches the top. If the bottom is the larger of the two ends, then I would think that is the correct configuration since the tops seem to "fit" into the "hockey pucks". The guy who I bought the jeep from seemed to know his stuff, so I would think they were installed correctly, but we all make mistakes.

If the tapered end is at the top then they are in correctly, but it does look a bit odd.

Looks like you may need adjustable or at least longer control arms

The lift is a 4.5 Rancho. As far as the LCA's, I really don't know.

If the LCA's needed to be adjusted, or longer, wouldn't the ride be affected or even both sides be "out of whack". It appears as though the passengers side is ok. Am I wrong?

You have new LCA's thay its the black pipe looking thing w/ the bend in it in the 1st pic. Bottom right corner just above the tire.

I agree looks like the spring is upside down. if you can take more pics of the bottom of the spring of at differeent angles

Springs arent installed upside down, the small end (pigtail) goes to the top. If they were upside down they would wrap atound the coil spacer/isolator.

The axle is too far back on drivers side. This could be from a bent control arm, bent axlehousing etc.

Can you post pics of the vehicle from each side showing wheel placement within wheelwell? I'd like to see pics with wheels off to.

Are your control arms adjustable? What is the measurement on each side bolt eye to bolt eye on each arm?

I believe, in addition to the measurements, I will try to turn them around a little. I guess the hard part is going to be jacking up the front enough to relieve the tension as well as using coil compressors. Unless...............you fine gentlemen have any really great methods for accomplishing this

Did you put the coil spacer on upside down?

Looks like the bottom of the spacer is flat and doesnt have the little lip to keep the coil centered

^see the little lip?

^That lip will fit just inside the top of the spring and keep it centered,....

that my take on it,... HTH

just jack it up and throw some stands under it. take the front tires off and jack it up by the frame rail so the axle will droop
