Hello all new here,

I'm having a problem with a high idle when first starting. It doesn't do it all the time, but I have to turn it off, on, off, then on several times to get it to stop.

Anyone have any suggestions on what might be wrong. It's an inline 6 with the fuel injection and throttle body type intake. Hope this helps.

Check all your vacuum connections, especially those $hitty plastic lines,with the $hitty connectors,that tend to crack.They can cause those eratic conditions you speak of.

 

yup, sounds like a vacuum leak.
