for some reason when im driving and hit the brakes the car leans to the left and it feels as if only the left caliper was stopping it, could there be something wrong with the calipers?

You need to check your pads and your calipers and be sure the pads have even wear. Might need to bleed them could be air trapped in the line.

The problem does sound like a caliper or brake hose issue. Either part could cause what you describe. Check the calipers by trying to compress the piston and if one feels real tight then try it again after you crack the bleeder valve. If it's still tight then it's probably the caliper but if the piston slides in easier it's probably the brake hose. Either way, I would replace both calipers, the pads and hoses and be done with it. If you do all that then either replace your rotors or have them resurfaced if they're thick enough...
