I just wanted to see what everyones thoughts were on Pro Comp Lift kits. I just ordered one and have been told they are great. Does anyone have any complaints?

Thanks!

Wouldn't it have been wiser to order the lift after asking this question!

Even if we say it sucks now you are stuck with it. LOL

Never had one or used any of their products so I can't personally say,but I have heard opinions from both sides(more for the cons). Let us know how it works for you.

That would be my first question.

Second, how big is the lift?

Third, how long have you been researching? Honestly, I found plenty of opinions in the month i've been looking for the lifts I'm looking at. RE/RC. Although I don't see many people running ProComps, except that one guy on here and another on naxja...

Why did you buy Pro Comp, just wondering?

I have a buddy who runs procomp leaf packs and they have held up for almost 2 years running so far and still ride good.

The only thing I've ever heard about Pro Comp is thier springs are to stiff , I sell thier lifts but not alot, I think you would have been better off with an RE lift same money better quality , better lift

Well I just researched ProComp and the site is pretty lame. Makes you download all of the files about the lifts. Not to mention the fact with slow internet, why bother..? They also have a 2007 and 2008 calendar but what, no 2009 stuff?

Edit: I heard Skyjacker was expensive, true?

you must not have done much research.. theres a reason everyone calls them Pro Crap.
all kidding aside.. Pro Comp stuff has some decent stuff. over priced but decent..A guy in our club has all Pro Comp stuff and he likes it..
Pro Comp is what 4wheel Parts sells as thier own stuff. When ever you call them, they ll tell you what you want to hear so they can sell you a Pro Comp accessory.

Those that ask before buying would have rather bought a Rustys or Rough Country kit before getting a Pro Comp!

LoL

pro-comp is great i runn all their crap availabe for a cherokee because i work at four wheel parts and i get it at a good price and i love it. i run their 3" lift with complete everything and their trac bar, and spacers love it . but im ditchin it for a homemade LA kit with RE springs. you will be fine their better than rough country lol everyone on here runs that or RE, switch it up.

TransAmerica Auto Parts is the owner of Pro-Comp

Aslo they own

4 Wheel Parts
4 Wheel Hardware
Mickey Thompson and Dick Cepek Tires and Wheels(Cooper makes the tires)
Four Wheel Adventures Magazine

So in an area where 4-Wheel Parts has a presence you are much more likely to hear people who have more experience with them. Where 4WP has less presence.. you are less likely to hear anything about them....

I actually had it recommended from a family owned 4x4 performance shop here in our area. Out of the lifts they sell they had the best warranty (no questions asked) and have not had anyone return that has had problems. Also the lift comes with lots of extras that many lifts in its price range did not come with.

I have done lots of research, but just wanted some quick feedback to be sure.

Thanks for your opinions..its appreciated!

not sure how everyone elses experiences are. but my club has a "curse of the procomps" everyone who ran a pro comp product has had it fail in one way or cause a failure. mostly cut sidewalls but a few suspension components too. but i wouldn't run their overpriced junk anyway. Out of 70+ members nobody has a pro comp product on their jeep anymore. There are much better options out there.
