Default prime oil pump

I hear theirs two ways to prime the oil pump the first being pulling the distributor and using a drill and the second is pulling all the spark plugs out and cranking it. I decided Im gonna do it the second way because I dont really wanna mess with the timing. I didnt really see too much on the second way of doing it though, to my understanding I pull out the plugs disconnect power to my injectors and crank it. I hear its bad on the starter but it has a liftime warranty anyways lol. My question is how do I know when its primed? Does oil come out of the plug holes or something?

Out of the plug holes?! I sure as hell hope not.

Why are you priming the oil pump? Did you rebuild the engine? Replace the oil pump?

No need to pull all the plugs. Pull the coil wire off of your distributor and spin it over for a while. Put the wire back on and fire it up.

If oil comes out of your spark plug holes then you have serious issues.

Don't just pull the secondary coil lead, you could damage the coil or PCM. Unplug the primary coil lead or the crank sensor, or pull the fuel pump relay.

Unplug the CPS as suggested. It's all I ever do.

If you've got gauges, just read the oil pressure gauge with the key in the ON position.

I've replaced my oil pump. All I did was pull the fuel pump relay and turned the engine over in 10-15 second intervals a few times. Put the fuel pump relay back in. Primed the fuel pump (key on engine off) a couple times. Then fired her up.

Yep. Or unplug the CPS and crank it over. When you see good oil pressure on the gauge, plug the CPS back in and fire it off.
