Pressing out Leaf Spring bushings?
Will a 12-ton press be strong enough to press out the leaf spring bushings?
Any tricks to removing them without destroying them? The springs are rusted, but the bushings still look firm.
Thanks.

A 12 ton shop press? Oh yeah...thats more then enough. Spray them down with PB or something. But I don't think its worth it though. Get new ones, they are only a couple of bucks...you'll be glad you did,...

The problem is that the outer sleeves on the bushings are thin and rusted into the leaf eyes. So ... I'm pressing a thin piece of rusted metal out of a rusted spring. Not rubber out of metal.
I'll get them off tho ...
