just started doing this acouple of days ago....would drive down the road and locks would lock and unlock by themselves a couple of times or if i hit a bump, close the door, anything that would jolt it...kinda gets annoying after awhile...any ideas

 

Master lock switch, drivers door may need cleaning.

 

x2 short in drivers door control panel/ bad connectors

not to much dirt in there,connectors are clean....are there any connecters inside the tape....have to go to jy tomorrow anyway for something else

 

the wires are famous in our XJs for being brittle, did you inspect the wires? maybe there's a short in the door to body rubber boot.

 

im gonna check that now....maybe thats why my front speakers dont work either

 

so found a broken wire for my speaker....still nothing for the locks
