Power Windows
I have a 99 Cherokee Classic with power windows. I was driving down the street and went to put my passenger window down and it just fell all the way down. I assume it came off track. But how do I fix it?

well if it just fell down and doesnt go back up something broke check the bolts or rivets which ever you have that hold the actuator in place maybe they fell out out and caused a problem. Also where the window itself attaches to the linkage it could have came apart you will have to check each and every part until you find what is broken. If you can get a good pic someone might be able to help i know its hard but other then that i cant help to much

Ill try tomorrow. You can hear the motor go up and down, but it doesn't do anything. The bolt are still through the bar in the middle. Also there is a coil with red stuff in the center floating around. Is that an important part, and where is it suposed to be

My back seat passenger side window goes down and if you go to far down wont go back up unless you pull it up and hold the window button up. Makes a grinding sound also. I think the gear teeth are getting worn.

hey guys had this happen on my 99 window, the teeth that the cable "grab" onto to move the window up and down stripped out and down went the window, anyways used this info on the link to fix it, it also should help narrow down your particular problem due to seeing how things should be
Only one difference on what i did, i used wire instead of cotter pins...
