Power windows are universal in the dying or near dying moments. R&R the motor would be my guess. You might pull the door panel, clean and lube the regulator and check for improvement first.

I agree, your best bet is the motor. If the window wouldve dropped into the door panel then it would be the regulator. If you have a way of checking to make sure the switch on your driver door panel is still getting power, then I would do that just to be sure. Go to a junkyard and pick you up a used motor. Good luck!

spraying the felt guides for the glass with pure silicone spray also helps with movement issues

I have a 2001 sport. passenger windows only worked from driver for a while. lately driver window giving problems. window would go up without stopping properly, had to manually adjust. drivers window began working intermittently, now not at all although passengers still work from drivers side still only. have had water issues in the past from cracked seal around windshield. Do you think i have two issues here? the control panel and a motor?

I would say that you do have 2 separate problems. For the drivers door you are going to have to remove the door panel and check everything out. Including all of the wires, motor, regulator. I would try lubing all of the moving parts before ripping thing apart to see if it helps. As for the passenger window check out the link I put below. It should take care of that problem. Let us know how things work out for you.
