When I first got my jeep a year ago the power windows didn't work so I went in to the door boots and found the broken wires, connected them and then everything worked fine. Yesterday I wired up some off road lights and ran some of the wires under the dash near the gas and brake pedals and today the power windows don't work; only the drivers side works(I can still roll all the windows down from the drivers side but each door doesn't work). So my question is could I have hit something when I was running wires under the dash?what would be the probable cause? Thanks!

check the wires that you repaired in the past, maybe while pulling the fog light wires through you might have tugged on the harness and caused the crimped connector to fail

Well I went over a bump today and all the windows started working again. I guess there's a loose connection somewhere. I'll deal with it when they stop working again but thanks for the input.
It has something to do with the child lock control. My xj did the same thing then I found a write up to bypass the child lock relay with a paper clip. 10 mins later all my windows worked and it was a free fix. Look for the write up. That relay is on the driver side behind the kick panel.

Just did the fix myself. It takes ten mins.
Remove the Drivers Side Kick panel.
White connector with Black, Yellow and tan wires...unplug so you have some room
Dont cut the wires...just take about a half inch or so of insulation off about two inces from connector on the Yellow and tan wires.
Twist the two together...its done easily without even cutting teh wires.
Wrap with electrical tape.
Your windows should work. This bypasses the window lock mechanism and then everyones windows work...but you can't lock the windows anymore....
Replace the kick panel...done!
