how do i tell which one i have! i have a 1998 jeep cherokee sport thanks guys!

Power Tech is what they called the later HO's.
So you have "both" lol.

Chrysler started calling the AMC 242 engine the "power tech 4.0L" in 1997. Before then it was just referred to as either the 4.0L (renix years 1987-1991), or the 4.0L high output (1992-1996).
