Arrow power steering tensioner questions?

Ok so I am changing my in-place-of-the-a/c idler pulley as the bearings packed up and blew apart but Im having trouble getting the belt loose. I loosened off the two bolts in the back, and I understand there is a long tensioner bolt on the bottom facing toward the passenger side. What am I missing? why wont this thing pivot?

Once you've loosened those, put a 1/2" socket on the head of the adjuster bolt (runs crosswise under the pump, you may want to remove the airbox to access it easier) and play with that bolt - LOOSEN to remove tension, TIGHTEN to increase it.

Tighten all four bolts/nuts when you're done. The two on the back will certainly want a wrench, and you don't have to loosen them very far anyhow - so a socket really isn't needed for the adjuster bolts - just the crosswise slide bolt.

Be careful you don't crack the "knuckle" that holds tension on the pump - it's sintered, and I haven't been able to start making new ones out of wrought stock yet...

Slider stud is basically the center bolt of the pulley. I will try and dig up a picture.....

Someone circled the location of the bolts. This is for a 97+ though, so I think it might be different.

Come to think of it my 93 XJ might have had a different set up, where you moved the power steering pump to adjust the tension. I've had too many jeeps, keep getting them mixed up if you've got a photo maybe that can help identify.

Update. Got the belt all figured out. now putting new pulley on. the piece that fit to the center of the old pulley is too big, and instead of holding the bearing assembaly still, its holding the whole pulley. what am I missing?

Solution: NAPA sold me a pulley that wont work for renix jeeps, but they dont carry the renix style pulley in Canada, Or USA. Dont even try to buy a new pulley, just tap a new bearing into yours.
