Default Power Steering Pump

My power steering pump was leaking so I installed a remanufactured from advance auto because it was cheaper then all the used ones I could find. I am not new to working on vehicles but just wanted to throw this out there.
After installing the new pump I started up the Cherokee and had no power steering at all. Any ideas other then the new pump is bad? it wouldn't be the first time I had to install a new part twice.
I installed both new lines, new belt and new pump.
Thanks

This may sound like a dumb question. But did you bleed the system once you got it all back together by turning the steering wheel to full lock in both direction several times? If not give that a try and see if it helps.

Jack the front end up off the ground when you do it.

This might sound even dumber, but did you add power steering fluid? You didn't mention anything about it.

Yes I bleed the system. I had to stop working on it last night. I have the parts place ordering a new pump just in case. I am going to try bleeding it again tonight.
Thanks for the help

Do you have a mityvac? Use it to pull a vacuum on the resivior while its running. It pulls the air right out of everything, even trapped bubbles.

Did you swap the pressure fitting on the pump? I've seen pumps come with just a dummy fitting. The pressure fitting has the relief valve under it and that might no be in there either.
