yea i stick it on straight and it goes on crooked. then i take it off and try again and same thing happens

I hold the bolt and turn nut. But the nut, turns pulley and shaft. and if i keep going it essentially screws down the nut but isn't pushing the pulley on. so it just unscrews the bolt.

I tried that too. I'm just gonna go to auto part store tomorrow and see whats up with the parts and this tool.

have you tried installing old pulley back on maybe wrong pulley was givin to ya?

it has the same size hole. doesn't look the same the new pulley as seen in the photo is smooth on both sides. the old pulley has ridges on the top.

try wrapping a belt around pulley to get better grip while turning....

still no go, its almost like the pulley will only go on so far then just either gets stuck or won't fit at all onto the shaft. and it always some how ends up being **** eye'd and not level even though it starts out being on there straight.
