Power Steering Overheating
Well, on my way up to a trail my XJ started whining real bad and the power steering began bubbling an shooting out. I let it cool and took it back home. Last night I followed the procedures that PSC gives for bleeding it's system.
Everything tested out fine so I tried taking it back up to Clear Creek again.
Was good until we reached the trail from Denver. The noise began again and the pump was bubbling and screaming. The fluid is milky again..
I replaced the pump over this past summer.
Is this a pump issue? Should I replace it again?

I can't speak directly to the PS pump in Cherokees, but many are built with just an o-ring seal between the pump and fluid reservoir. When that fails the pump sucks in air and does what yours is. If you can't find a problem elsewhere, might look there.
