Power Steering Locks When Cold
The power steering on my 96 XJ will be completely locked when I first start it when is very cold outside. If I let it warm up, it is fine or if I punch the gas once it will whine a bit and then free up. Everything becomes totally normal when the vehicle warms up or in above freezing weather. I am thinking of starting by bleeding the lines and if that doesn't work, replacing the pump. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to CF from Tj...To bleed them all you need to do is turn steering wheel left to right full turn a few times. You may also want to check the PS belt if you hear whining...Tj
