Default Power steering

So I just bought a 2001 cherokee 2wd. I am noticing that the steering is really stiff. I do not hear any squealing when I turn the wheel. The power steering reservoir is full, no leaks. it all seems pretty tight. I remember my uncles cherokee being a little easier. any suggestions????

Worn out parts in the front end can cause this. If power steering pump is good, then TRE's, bushings and joints can become worn causing what you've described.

Moved to OEM Tech.

How many miles on it?

How's the fluid look? If its discoloured then it may not be a bad idea to flush it.
