power shift switch

the power shift switch on 89 cherokee what is it for and does it help for shifting mine does not work i am wondering f there i benafit from fixing it

One of my xjs has this & it raises your shift points 500rpm.

Think of it as a tow haul switch like on a newer truck

And to fix check the transfer fuse on the fuse block under the dash I didn't have reverse lights and my power comfert switch didn't work till I found the fuse blown went through like 3 switches before I, found it and 1 nss
