I have a 1998 Cherokee Limited and my drivers power seat is not functioning at all. No movement, no sound from the motor. I bought it like this and I'm a little clueless on how to fix it.

Are there any semi-simple things I could look at first that may be the culprit? Thanks!

 

I'm going to bounce this as I haven't seen any good info on 98 or earlier power seat problems and fixes. I have a 87 Wagoneer Limited and today I found I could only move the seat forward (guess who can't fit now?) and no up/down at all. Any help is appreciated.
