JET STAGE 2
FLOWMASTER 40
I'll actually answer your question: 4.10 will work well, 4.56 will work better, especially if you ever want to go with bigger tires.

Hah! I can break my 33s loose on dry pavement even with my exhaust pipe crush halfway where it comes down from the manifold (and yes that is definately on the upgrade list).

First off I was simply making an example and secondly you don't really own a jeep moron. All that's sitting in your driveway is a cute little daily driver with a little girl sticker on the back. There is no point in you running your mouth about busting them free when you never really use it. You're a joke pal. I was looking for advice and good conversation when joining this forum, not a little cupcake driver to talk ****.

sure is...you posted your answer just before I did, it didn't come up before I began to post mine (i guess I didn't refresh the page after I read the thread). I just thought it was funny that the two people before you quoted his question, then didn't answer it.

His association with clubs means nothing to me (personally I would't claim him but that's totally up to you guys), he's a poser with a fat mouth in my eyes and I'll be nice and leave it at that.

Again, thank you everyone for taking time to help. I've got some good ideas now which is what this thread is started for.

doesn't seem like you've acknowledged the best ideas....regear, and update your intake MANIFOLD.

leave a1racer alone. he didn't say anything negative about your vehicle. it was negative towards your statement, sure.

fact of the matter is this;

you have put the most useless performance upgrades on your jeep, buying into the "fact" that they are "performance upgrades".

I run a stock intake box, with the front of it plugged, a stock filter element, and a tube run to the firewall coming off of the rear of the box. i think it cost me $15 for all the materials, if not less.

I run 4.10 gears....front axle gotten from a 4 cylinder 5 speed 86 comanche, rear is a dana 44 from an 80's comanche with factory 4.10 gears. tires are 33x10.50. rear is now welded, front soon to be (my disco is actuated via an air switch now).

I have almost no tread left on my tires, because I can break them loose any time, any place. coincidentally, my rear brakes are suffering.

why can I do this and you can't? I've got a fresh motor, and I did the proper updates to intake and exhaust...running a header, and a 2001 intake. there is no "performance" ignition, no "jet chips", no modifications whatsoever besides the .030 factory reman bore, and the intake/exhaust. the 4.10 gears help ALOT in increasing torque at the wheels.

don't be quick to jump down other's throats....we didn't make fun of you for running a crappy jet chip and a worthless TB spacer. TB spacers don't do ANYTHING on fuel injected vehicles bigger than a 2.0 liter.

BTW, YOU (condemned) were the one being associated with Naxja. not a1racer.

he has proven time and again to be a valuable asset to these sites. do yourself a small favor and simmer down a bit, kick back, take a chill pill, and hang out here more. you will gain in knowledge by listening and reading info more than you will by jumping down other's throats.

and trust me, you're talking to a guy about as hard-headed as yourself. more-so probably. many will say I'm a dick sometimes...I don't care too much to be honest, because I'm out here offering tech info that I KNOW not that I @$$ume.
