Power to Manual Seats Conversion???
I have a 98 Cherokee Limited 4.0L 2WD with power driver's seat. Once again I have another electrical problem (got to love jeeps) where the seat does not work. I'm going to the JY to try and find another seat switch BUT for kicks wanted to know if anyone has converted their power seats to manual. One less electrical component on this thing would be great but not sure this conversion would be as easy as it seems. Thanks

Is the recline mode adjusted electricaly too? If not, I think
all you need for the conversion is the seat tracks from a manual seat that bolt to the bottom of the seat with four bolts.

I did it on mine. really simple about an hour start to finish.
I did it for 2 reasons, first my motors were shot and left in a really uncomfortable driving position. A few weeks or tinkering to get power to them to get them set better and only I could drive it. Second even set all the way down and and as far back as i could get it the seat was still sitting to high. with the manual rails I was able to set the seat a little lower so my 6'4" self fits in a little better and not hitting my head on the ceiling, also giving me added room for a cage.

Power to manual seats
OK so my frame broke on my power seats in my 2004 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo I didn’t have enough to get another power seat so I just got a manual seat now with that you’ll see there’s no hook ups for power cords that I had on the power seats could that be why my airbag light is on but I also had my ground wire fixed in my door someone please help what’s wrong with my Jeep

Did the power seat base break or the frame in the seat?
You do know that the seat separates from the base. 4 bolts.
Assuming a WJ is anything like an XJ the seat itself can be removed from the manual base and put
on the power seat base.
