Default power loss

My 98 xj just recently developed a power loss problem. It will start and idle fine...on level ground I can get it to go 65 mph with little problem. Climbing I need to down shift to get it to climb. On the highway I'll climb hills and need to down shift ( I have a 5 speed) to get up them. Feels like I am pulling a trailer. I can put the pedal down, but get no real added responce. Would this be a clogged Cat?

I would think if it is the fuel filter it would spit and sputter. I have changed the air filter and added injection cleaner with no increased responce. Any ideas?

Could be a few things. A cat is one of them. When was your last tune up?

I had a similar issue. I had a CEL telling me the TPS was bad. Replaced and it was fixed.
