Hey guys, I've been lurking around here a while and decided to finally make an account to get some more help. The power locks, windows, and keyless entry occasionally don't work in my xj. whenever i push the switches, all I hear is a clicking noise on the passenger side. I've read that its probably broken wires in the door jam, but its hard for me to tell if any of the wires are broken or not because of the rubber grommet thing. So, does anyone know which wires would cause this to happen so i can fix them? Or if something else could be causing the problem?
Thanks,
Brad

Thanks for the quick reply. And no I haven't- We bought the steiger kit for the drivers door because it makes a grinding noise. Wouldnt a window regulator only affect the windows and not the locks too? Im still learning about this stuff so thanks!

rubber grommet pops out fairly easy.. pull the one away from the bbody, and shove the other end into the door. it should slide down pretty easy exposing the wires for you.
and yes, it's a VERY common problem with jeep/mopar products.. the wire they use doesn't hold up to being bent back and forth. as a stereo installer, I end up seeing broken wires pretty often
