I have a 1990 cherokee and when I push either power lock buttons (lock or unlock) nothing happens at all, I replaced the switches on driver and passenger door but it didnt help, I"ve tested the motors and switches and they seem good and the switches have power to them, the only answer I"m seeing come up is to install relays but mine already has two relays in the passenger kick panel (it has keyless entry but no fob) is there any way to test the relays? or any other ideas what could be wrong with this thing?? thanks

 

Anyone, looks like I'm having the same issue...

 

Not sure how the wiring is on the later years but...I was having issues with mine and it turned out to the be the circuit breaker on the fuse panel.

 

if they are the stock acutators test it and the plug in the door with a meter and see if you are getting power to them if you want to test the actuator it self it will have 2 wires coming off of it put 12vs to either and ground to the other it should lock or unlock if you dont want to run wires you can use a battery from a cordless drill and it will do the same wire colors Door Lock White Driver's Kick Panel Reverse Polarity Door Unlock Dark Green W/Keyless Light Green and Tan Passenger's Kick (+)
