When I got my XJ, none of the power locks worked. They would just make a click sound from in side the switches.
After replacing the speakers and putting the door back together, some of the locks started to work about 90% of the time.
So now the passenger door, rear drivers side door and the back hatch work but the drivers door and rear passenger doors don't work.
You can hear a sound coming from the door like its trying to work but nothing happens.
I am just wondering what maybe the cause of this or anything I can check?

This is a very common issue with xjs,I have tried to grease the actuators and loosen the tracks,I have had no luck. I think the electrical actuators become weak.
same problem, i replaced my door speakers and now the doors lock whenever they want. So i just got into the habit of doing it manually. which means doing a full walk around every time i want to lock it up.
