Default Power Locks/Keyless Entry?

OK, so I know more than likely everyone will tell me about the soldering trick etc on the drivers side window switch, but i'm looking to replace the cheap switch I have.

So intermittently my keyless entry stops working and then at the same time the power locks also don't work from inside the truck. Windows work normally.

What is a better option for a replacement switch? The one I have in there is only like 3 months old off amazon. I installed it for a different reason, hoping to fix a different problem (which it did not). Any advice on which switch is better? $220+ for mopar seems extreme, but...?

Thanks!

So to me it is a little unclear but you make it sound like you replaced the driver's side control.
The power door locks run off the passenger side one.
You also don't state what year.
So this is from an '00 perspective.
My locks would literally work 99% of the time.
When they don't work it was only for a short time.
I mean like I get out at the store to run an errand, they don't work, come out 15 minutes later and they do.
One time they did not work for 3 days though.
When they don't work I can hear this click that sounds like one of two relays in the passenger side switch.
So I was pretty sure it was not wiring.
Having spare parts I threw another used one in. Lasted about a month till they screwed up again.
Threw another used one in and for the past year so far so good.
So I am guessing that my problem is the switch.

Sorry, it's a 2001 Limited.

My issue sounds exactly like yours. So you're thinking passenger side switch? Thanks!!!

Thing to realize though is cause the locks don't want to work so infrequently
is it because of the switch replacement or just a run of good luck.
Using used parts is not really helping to be sure on top of that.

Yeah, I hear you. I'll probably throw a new passenger side switch in and see.

I have another problem that I haven't honestly spent much time to fix with the passenger side window not working. The motor is good, I've tested it by jumping power & ground to it, so I can make it go up/down like that. I assumed that was a wiring issue, and planned to run 2 new wires from the driver's door switch over to the passenger door switch in hopes of fixing that. Just want to be able to roll that window down when it gets nicer out. My dog is pissed off, because he thinks I won't open the window for him!
