Default power locks help

hey guys i have a 96 xj 4.0 with the aw4 auto trans 4wd and four door (if i left anything out then dangit lol) but im having an issue with the poer locks on the doors. they will lock when i push the button to lock but then when i go to unlock them it doesnt do anything at all. has anybody had this happen to them? is there a fuse i can check or maybe the switch is burnt out? any help would be greatly appreciated

Mine does something similar except some of the locks unlock and some don't. If I keep hitting unlock over and over sometimes they work. The fuse is the same locking and unlocking. It is one fuse that powers the whole mechanism. My thought is that the solenoids and mechanism are dirty and sticky but I have yet to open it up to take a look.

.... ouch..... well I don't think you can get to the mechanism without opening the gate. Might have to call a locksmith.

If you can get Tue trim panel off from the indirect you will have access. Then you can get to the latch. Difficult but a possibility.

Predictive text pisses me off. The trim off from the inside.

Thanks for the idea. I actually asked my dad and he told me to check the relay for it because the power lock and power unlock are two different relays so I flipped them and now have my power locks work!!
