Hi there, new Jeep owner, just got a XJ 99 Classic.

I have read a lot of posts about power locks not working along with the windows or mirrors but all of my windows and both my mirrors work. I can hit both passenger and drivers side lock switch and the motors on the locks go, but they do not lock the doors. I can see a little movement in the lock switches but no actual locking. Any ideas of what this might be?

Hey, if you are sure that the motors are going then I would try lubricating all of the locking mechanisms. They might have gotten sticky over the years, so what I would do is pull off the door panels (which in my 95 isn't hard at all, just a few screws and then pry the plastic connectors out) and then use like a dry lubricant or something of the sorts. I use a white teflon spray I believe, and it works pretty well for stuff like that. Good Luck!
