Default Power lock?

I know that this has been gone over before. I searched and didn't find a problem like I am having. I have a 97 xj sport. When I use either power lock switch the only door that locks is the front passenger. I was thinking that it was probably the driver side switch than I read about a control module in the passenger door. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I have the same issues with my 98 xj, cannot get the passenger windows to go up and down except from my drivers control pad. This link was an awesome fix. just found today, so I haven't personally tried it but it is quick easy and CHEAP. good luck and hope it helps.

My power windows are not the problem. It is the door locks. I already did this to the windows and it works great. Thanks for the help.

The control module is the power lock switch.

Cool

take the door that has the problem and remove the panel. Unplug the door actuator. Test the door lock actuator by applying power and ground to it ....if it responds then just back track from there , test the individual wires and then the switch.

Where is it, what's it do, and how do I test it to see if it is bad?
