It's very possible I'm not entering the correct words while doing a search
, but I don't find anything when I search to see if this question has been asked and answered before.
The past two days, my power doors have started to lock/unlock when driving
. It's as though someone it pressing the lock/unlock button on the keyless entry remote, but no one is in the car but me
. Like some modern day cars do, once you put the car in a forward gear, the doors will lock, only mine will lock/unlock while driving. Anyone ever have this weird/strange phenomenon happen to them, or am I just delusional?

I've seen this before with remote starts and after market keyless entry systems. Sometimes you dont even know you have one installed people will loose the remotes and just leave the system installed. If it was installed incorrectly it can cause weird things. Most are installed under the driver dash, on the jeeps, cause all the wires that you have to tap into are in the driver kick panel. But with symptoms like that just unplugging the brain to the system might not fix the problem. I would pull the driver kick panel off and look for wires that are tapped into with those plastic connectors. I think they should be illegal I've seen them start fires. If you have a wire that is shorting out it could lock and unlock the doors.

I have a factory remote unlock and started having issues.
Switched batteries, no change.
Switch to the other key fob and everything works fine...
All temporary unti, I get one of these snazzy remote start+alarm+immobilizer system. XJs are getting stolen all around, especially nice lifted ones...

Mine did the same thing and on some occasions the horn would start blaring when I tried to start it. The jeep would start but the horn wouldnt stop. I removed the center console light and unplugged that big chip that is in there. Not a problem since and everything works fine.

I had the same problem... took off the door panel and disconnected/reconnected the wiring harnesses... but then realized it was just that the rubber boot in the door hinge had slipped off and the wires were rubbing against the hinge. Fixed the boot, taped up the wires = no more crazy locks.
