Default Power Amplifier??

I'm working on my 1998 Cherokee Sport and am having trouble getting the rear turn signals to work. Flasher relay is workingand new, all fuses tested good and are properly sized. I have 12v at fuses 7 and 23. I'm getting 9.5v to both rear turn signal plugs and one side is intermittent on a good day.

I saw a "power amplifier" in the circuit on a wiring diagram but cannot find anything else on it and I'm not very familiar with the wiring on these XJs or physical location of components.

Any ideas or suggestions for troubleshooting?

The power amp was used on the Infinity sound system and the amp was under the rear seat .

Well low voltage is likely a connection/corrosion/ground issue. Have you chased that all down?

Rumor has it, the connections on the passenger side near the rear wheel wheel tend to get corroded. Especially if the wheel well is rusting out.

Do you know if that's where the wires for both sides come back to the rear of the chassis?

Yes, I believe all the rear wiring runs down that side.
