Default Turn signals cutting out

I've got a 00 Cherokee sport and the turn signals are working sporadically. IF they go on, they'll go on and blink once or up to four times and then just not blink, even though the lever is in the turn position. I'm thinking the contacts in the actuator are going bad. This happened to anyone else?

You could check your turn signal flasher relay. I've had that happen to me before on another car and thats what it was. Plus it's the cheapest and easiest thing to test first.

Definetely check your flasher relay. You don't have an airbag light or anything on, right? Possibly a lose connection with the wiring but I doubt it. Do the blinkers cut out at any given time or only over potholes, speedbumps, bumps, etc.?

They just haven't worked completely right since I got it back in August. I didnt pay much attention to the issue, since it was sporadic, but now its a constant thing.

I'll check the relay, thanks. I wouldn't think that was it because I had a Talon a few years back and the relay went out and they just didn't work at all. These work some of the time, but like I said, at best they blink a few times then won't.
