Get it. It looks like its just the clear coat on the hood. I just got a 99 XJ with a crappy paint job, and paid 2200.00! It has 42,108 miles!! All of the others I looked at had over 100k miles and they were asking 8 - 10 K!!

 

I paid $2k for mine 3 weeks ago. 98, 163k 4x4 clean paint cept for scratches. Need a headliner. Was reasonably clean inside with all power options and they all worked. Heck, the cruise works.

 

Paint doesn't matter on an xj, most people wind up lifting them and scratching them up anyways.

 

Haha I had a guy offer me $1500.00 less than the asking price for my old bronco and I told him to go pound sand.

 

Double and triple check for any rust. If it's as clean as he makes it sound, I would do my best to negotiate to the 2500 dollar area....
