I have a 93 cherokee country 4x4, that I just bought a few months back. When ever I turn sharp I hear a pop. I'm hoping it isn't a broke axle although the drive shaft for the 4 wheel drive is missing. It doesn't pop countinuosly while driving, only during sharp turns... Anyone else have this problem before or have any pointers?

 

Do you know how long ago it was lifted?

 

no lift man, it is stock height..it may had a lift before, but doubt it since i was the one to cut out the fenders...

Where does it sound like it's coming from, cause I had the same sort of problem and I only heard it in turns and big bumps, and found out it was actually my front springs

 

popping while turning sharp means your ujoints in the front axle are toast. If you put it in 4x4 it will be much worse
