Popping from rear end
I have a 2001 XJ with the Dana 35 with limited slip. I recently took out one of my rear axles to replace the drum brake backing plate. I put the axle back in, no problem, and filled it back up with Valvoline 75w140. It said on the bottle "for limited slip" so I didn't think I needed the additive.
Now when I make turns at very low speeds the rear end feels like it catches and pops. Someone told me to just get the limited slip additive and put it in there anyway. I did do the figure eights right after the oil was added like the instructions said.
