Default popping in rear on accel only from stop

i started to get a pop noise from what seems the left rear, only from stops here in northern ohio. lift is bastard 4" rear on 98 cherokee with 4" lift coils in front. on accel, when i punch it, everything is fine. when i stop, slowly roll and take off, i get a pop noise felt in the drivers floor board. all shocks in rear, and springs look ok. 98 cherokee, with 1" transfer case drop, any ideas?

Yep start buy checking all your bushings and u-joints,also check your u-bolts for tightness.

Default joints, etc

well all the ujoints are tight. from suspension seems ok. has the cheap stamped front lower control arms still. ill check those, but the noise seems to transfer from the rear to the front, and can be felt in the floor

On mine it was the slip yoke. Took it apart and re-greased it. Just make sure not to ruin the clap when you take the boot off.

you said from the rear so you can count out ball joints also... and control arms... rear ujoint is number one cause... can also be ring and pinion... and pull apart that left drum... maybe brake is hanging up...

"Only from a stop" is the important part that makes the slip yoke a 99% probability. I must has asked 50 people about it before I went to the trouble to fix it and all of them said slip yoke right out.

The brake could also be the cause I suppose...can you stop on a hill...get going again and roll to a stop...then try? I think that would rule out the brake.

if they want to ban me for that...go ahead It would be a little different if I was getting ****ty with someone (see, used it that time). Some sites go to far with censorship for "family friendly." People making racial slurs, e-fighting, dropping the f-bomb..sure..but most of us are grown enough to deal with a "naughty" word for poop.
