i have a 2000 cherokee 4wd all stock front end lifted 3.5 inches. i have been having this problem for quite some time now and its really beginning to bother me.
whenever i turn only left either while moving kinda slow around 5-10 mph or starting from a complete stop it pops very loudly even inside the jeep. i am wondering is there anyone here that can point me in the direction of what the problem could be
i have seen things track bar related is that what it could be?
if you need anymore info just reply back thank you

It could be your driveshaft yoke hitting your exhaust, mine did that for a while. Look underneath at the yoke ears. If they have some shiny spots then this is your problem.

Mine does the same thing, replaced the trac bar, steering box, all the ball joints, checked the drive shaft, replaced all of the U-joints, can't find it. Bushings all look good. New bumper stopped it for awhile it seemed like but it came back, retorqued all the bolts... Nothing! If I rally it or jump it it stops for a few days but going easy it does it all the time. Interested to see what people come up with.

check the track bar bolts on the axle side by the passenger wheel. some of the bushings shrink in the winter (from what ive heard).
just always good to tighten it up.

THE DOWN PIPE! That's what my problem was. A hanger broke and let the whole pipe shift over enough that on LEFT turns the axle shifted just enough for the yoke ears to go POPOPOPOPOPOPOPOPOP!

Cranked mine down and no more pop. If you lay under the Jeep and have someone turn the wheel you can see if there is movement in that joint and hear the pop. If it only happens while the Jeep is moving then its a different issue.

Crank down on the track bar bracket nuts on the inside of the fender well.
If they break off, drill a larger size hole, and install 8 grade nuts & bolts, and crank them down hard. Take a test drive to see if the popping noise stops.
Just my 2 cents, Mac
