I have a pop noise in the front end when turning. It has to be at all-most full lock. I just installed a new Rustys trac bar and stabailizer shock and was fine for a week. Now it is making this noise all the time. Any ideas. XJ is fully stock.

 

loose track bar bolt?

 

i have checked all the bolts could this be a ball joint

 

i had the same issue after fixing some death wobble with a new track bar steering stabilizer and tie rods, ended up being the ball joints

 

thats what i was wondering. did yours make the noise when turning into a drive way or things like that

 

into driveways, etc. but mainly when i had to turn really hard to get into a parking spot, thats the most common i remember

 

yeah mines about to get all pulled apart n get new stuff put back under it, mine pops when i turn sharp

 

Mine does the same thing and I have checked the trac bar bracket and it seems tight. How hard are ball joints to replace?

 

everytime someone came to me with that description, it was the track bar bolt at the axle. it's possible the mounting hole became ovalized.

but yeah, also check the frame mount bolts for the track bar mount.
also could be ball joints or even axle shaft u-joints.
