i replaced my stock track bar with another stock track bar because it was old and wore out. everytime i would turn it to the right it would move up and down and make a popping noise. replaced it and it quit for like 2 months. the popping just came back and its not the track bar. any ideas as to what it is? it doesnt do it all the time, about every third time i turn it to the right and take a turn it pops. its a 97 xj with 3-4 inches of lift. maybe i need an adjustable track bar?

 

Yes you need an adjustable. At that height you are stressing the tie rod joint at the frame.

 

check the trac bar frame mount. sometimes the bolts just need a bit of tightening now and again.
if not, check the axle joints.

 

those are all tight, i'll check them again though

 

It doesnt have any cheap coil spacers on it does it? Thats where my popping was coming from when I first bought my xj..

 

no coil spacers up front, just the pro comp coil.
