Another vote for General Grabber AT here. Fantastic on road in snow and rain. They are winter rated in some sizes, so check for the the snowflake. Mine are iirc 235/70/15 and have mud/snow rating.
Can't fault them after about 15k miles so far.

on a nudder note-rotate the heck outta them revo's,(well, all tires for that matter) i got 50k off a set on a 4x4 diesel excursion, rotated every 5k religiously, they were bald, but stuck like glew!!!

i got 33/12.5/15 duratracs, on my lifted XJ, they slide in the rain easy, and i dont even 3k on em?? but they are great in da mud, quiet, waitin on sno!!!

I have owned XJ's and Scouts. I have had nothing but good with the BFG AT's. I have a used set on my '00 right now and even after rain both heavy and light, these are hands down one of the best tires for the money. On my last XJ, I put nearly 55k on that XJ, with 235's and never rotated the tires and still have 3 with nearly 40-50% tread left. The '00 has 30" BFG's on it now. If you are wanting to save some $$, the Generals also have good ratings and from what I have seen and read, I may try a set on one of the Scouts and see how it works with a heavy truck. With continued rotation, and maintenance, you will get the most from any tire, but I think some have been changing their compounds a bit. I have never had an issue with a BFG, and I have put many through a ton of paces. If they offer these in a size to fit my next car, I may consider that. Use Tire Rack as a guide, and look for those that have a similar make and model vehicle to the one you are putting them on, and see what kind of mileage, and what kind of driving they do. I do mostly highway, but the ones I have are on/off road driven, so I will lose some mileage, but I have always had traction when I needed it. Snow was great as well. Got anywhere I wanted to go, in 2wd and 4wd. Never a problem. I would get the best bang for your buck, and I think if you go to 4 wheeler's website, they have done a couple of tire tests in the last couple of years and can offer what they found for you as well.

yer a better man than me, i had 10k on bfgs on my 01 f350 4x4 diesel, with 800 lbs of corn and my 600lb 4wheeler in the bed, and slid that sob so many times that i sh!tcanned them for the kumhos based on tire racks surveys,, real bad move, they are just as bad as the bfgs, price wise, i agree, but when bfgs get miles they get slick, just my 2$ worth, and no, i dont drive like a total a-hole-just a little one!!

The LSD in my 01 works well had an incedent Sun. I ended up stoping and sliding the case into 4 high . This set of BFGs have maybe 15 k on them !
Great other than rain performance .

We have Cooper ATRs on our Liberty and they're great. The new version is called AT3 (I believe) and I've heard good things about them, too.

They're not really "All Terrain's" but I'm running with Cooper Trendsetter's 235/75R15 and for around $70/tire, they have been good for about a year or so with very good wear.

Just noticing all the tires complained about so far (other than BFG) have a solid center ribbon?

I had these on a 99 grand Cherokee with quadra drive. Awesome in the wet, dry and snow .... Well until it got towed and they only lifted the rear axle and flat spotted my front tires and destroyed my front axle gears

I am running the Firestone destination LE 235/75/15 which came on it when I bought the Jeep last year. They are like new and I really like them so far.
