If maintained, white lithium grease annually or expect quick dry rot.

I've never had dry rot issues with any poly mount I've ever used, but I've never used them on a Jeep before.

I used poly motor mounts in my 500whp Eclipse, had them for several years and never had any dry rot.

I spose it wasn't used on suspension components, but they sure held up well.

Even with launches from 5500rpm.

They could also be different compounds, which would make a difference.

Compounds, possibly. RE had a problem with their bushings, now they treat them with a white lithium grease before sending them out.

Yeah, not sure what company made them anymore. I know they are outta California, though, and aren't a big company.

IIRC they were either red or black. I wanna say red. Jeeze, they aren't even similar colors.

poly are obviously better material, but they are a lot stiffer than rubber. therefor a much more harsh ride. noisier too.

Two things that really shouldn't concern you being a Cherokee owner.

poly is stiff and squeaks. rubber will last a while and are dirt cheap. i vote rubber for arms and poly for motor mounts
